Your heart breaking is an initiation. When you decide to walk through that opening into the pain is when you start to level up. It may feel dark and scary, but this opening into the unknown is leading you to the light. That light is YOUR light. ✨

There have been many moments when my heart has been broken. And with each heart break, deep pain. I hated that feeling and wanted it to go away ASAP. I didn’t know it when I was younger, but every time I allowed myself to feel the hurt, there was also a release. A relief. But sometimes, I just didn’t want to feel the pain.

Nowadays, when heartache comes for whatever reason, I’ve learned to embrace it. To feel it to its core. I welcome it as an emotion that wants to be felt completely through, and allow the tears to flow freely. There’s also the conscious observer in me that knows this is good. That this crack, this feeling of pain, is also opening my heart wider and wider to love. To my light. To God.

The more I release what I no longer need to carry, the closer I get to God.
